Since 1997, Ministry of Steel (Govt of India) and Steelworld, a leading steel information & consultancy house, are jointly organising conferences to promote the interaction between various agencies like producers, users, suppliers, trades, technology suppliers, ministry etc. at national as well as international level.
Pig Iron is one of the major raw material for steel manufacturing and foundry and has gained importance in the last few years. The user sector includes integrated steel plants, EAF units, induction furnace units, foundries etc.
The Indian pig iron industry has grown in size in the last few years and has made its presence felt in international markets also. On the other hand the industry is facing serious problems due to ressessionary trends in user industry, rise in input costs amongst others.
Steel Conference 98 will debate the present scenario, technological aspects, raw materials, domestic and overseas markets, Government policies, users perspective at length. One can be sure that a positive and constructive approach with all concerned agencies will emerge at the Conference.
The Conference, along with business sessions, will also include a 'Plant Visit' and a fabulous 'River Cruise'.
